Is Yoga
right for me?

Absolutely. Yoga is a powerful, personal life practice for one and all. To reference The Bhagavad Gita, “Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” That being said, these days there are hundreds of different styles and types of Yoga classes and offerings. Some of them (often called Power Yoga classes) are more athletic-based and may not be suitable for all.

However, each and every practice is your own practice — meaning, if the teacher is calling out pose after pose faster than an auctioneer in a hurry, it’s your choice to either try and keep up, OR honor your body and just hold your pose for a few more breaths (maybe even take a short break in Child’s Pose!)
